SLC 500系列是一个不断充实的小型可编程控制器系列。该系列有两种硬件结构:固定式控制器与模块式控制器。固定式将电源、输入与输出以该处理器集中在一个单元。固定式控制器还提供一个2槽的扩展框架以增加其灵活性。模块式控制器使用户在组态系统时具有额外的灵活性,它具有更强的处理能力,以及I/O容量。
