This paper introduces the concept and internal architecture of WinAC RTX, and introduces the installation and configuration process of WinAC RTX 2008 software.
WinAC RTX is a soft PLC that can realize the function of S7 controller (S7-300/400), which is an application software running on Windows with RTX real-time extension. It can be programmed through Step 7 and the code is fully compatible with S7-300/400, or it can be programmed to communicate with WinAC under Windows using the high-level language C++ through the interface provided by WinAC ODK. Therefore, WinAC RTX has both the real-time performance of PLC and the openness of PC.
