ZX2气体绝缘开关设备基于全面而创新的设计理念，所有一次带电导体均被完全封闭在充有SF6绝缘气体的高压隔室里。断路器隔室和母线隔室相互独立，隔室外壳由不锈钢板经先进的机器人焊接而成，安装其内的高压带电部分完全不受外环境条件的影响。人员无法接触到带电的部份，保证了操作的安全性。
ZX2主开关选用ABB知名的VD4X真空断路器，性能稳定寿命长，可满足单母线和双母线系统的所有需求。适用于严苛的沿海和内陆环境条件。
