GC8000内置12英寸彩色触摸屏，大大的简化了维护工作。只要轻触屏幕，所有的分析参数和测量结果便会以简单易懂的图形形式呈现在彩色显示屏上，供技术员查用。
GC8000同样在气相色谱仪的分析能力方面有许多重大创新。由于采用了GC单元(GCM)概念，第一次实现了并行分析的实用化。通过单台分析仪中设置的多个虚拟色谱，使所有色谱的设置、显示和数据完全独立，便于理解和维护。而且，内置的图形总览画面可用于查看每一个GC单元。
GC8000提供了在可靠性和操作性方面得到验证的硬件和电子技术的同时，并通过多恒温炉分析能力使工业气相色谱的应用达到了更高的水平。
GC8000的通信网络基于工业标准的以太网结构，可保证数据灵活安全地传输到气相色谱仪维护站和工厂DCS系统。GC8000既可配置单以太网，也可使用两个完全隔离的以太网构成冗余网络。
