ATV 61变频器高级多泵卡（VW3A3503）有一个非易失性存储器(NVRAM)，用于保存变量。备有高级多泵卡程序。
高级多泵卡程序为可最多包含4台水泵的定压泵系统提供一套全功能的控制算法。变速泵的速度由“高级多泵”卡控制，（最多）有3台外部辅助泵可以是DOL，或者采用更好的软起动器控制。此外还有针对薄膜泵或起动泵的措施。
该“高级多泵”将确定需要有多少外部泵运行以满足当前的需求，并将以可变的速度运行变速泵，以补足需求的量。
该控制算法提供一个变速泵基准的PID功能。压力设定点可以被输入到“高级多泵”显示单元，也可以从模拟输入端子引入。压力反馈被连接至一个模拟输入端子。
在正常运行条件下，控制算法将以提高泵速度的方式对需求的增加进行初始响应。如果泵不能满足需要，且已经达到满负荷，则控制算法将切入外部泵中的一个。此时变速泵将降低速度，使它与外部泵共同满足需求。对于需求的下降，控制算法将先以降低变速泵速度作为响应。如果需求进一步降低，则控制算法将切除一台外部泵。此时变速泵将提高速度，以适应需求。
